It was just like yesterday,when Nora’s mum was just staring at her with so much happiness the day she was born.Her dad loves her mum so much and she was brought up with so much love in a family of 4(2 boys and 2 girls): Ikenna, Chucks and Ada and Nora was the first child.

Her parents marriage were the perfect type and She wanted something like what they have.

Her  dad was an amazing man who always made sure their needs were met and would do anything to provide for his family. Nora was his favorite child and she could do no wrong in his eyes. Nora was closer to her dad than her mum, she shared every thing with him but she loved both her parents.She had the perfect family.Her dad was a civil servant while her mum a trader and they were so happy as a family.

Nora completely forgot her friends were waiting for her as she was already carried away with Kelvin who she could not resist his charm. “Oh shoot, my friends are waiting for me, I have to go now, Nora said. “Okay let me walk you to them so I can apologize to them for taking you away from them as a gentleman that I am” Kelvin replied.

Nora Smiled and they both walked together to meet her friends.

As they walked together, hand in hand, their presence caught the attention of those around them. The hottest guy with the prettiest girl in school and People couldn’t help but envy them especially the girls who obviously had eyes for Kelvin in his class. Nora could not help but noticed people staring at them and she asked “ Why are they looking like they have seen a ghost? Kelvin laughed and said “I thought I was the only one who noticed that but don’t let that bother you”.

Others couldn’t help but wish for a love as pure and beautiful as theirs. “ Madam where have you been? Ivy asked ( A friend of Nora) so you were with a man forgetting that we are waiting for you abi? Before Nora could explain, Kelvin interrupted. “I’m so sorry ladies put the blame on me, I couldn’t help but admire a beauty like hers and I actually kept her waiting. My name is Kelvin”

Ivy replied “ I know you of course, the hottest guy in SS3” she smiled. Kelvin smiled and apologized to the ladies again, whispered into Nora’s ears and waved the ladies goodbye. Her friends were surprised that Nora could talk or even walk with a guy . They started making fond of her calling her Virgin Mary have finally found love o” They all laughed and walked away.

Nora and Kelvin’s relationship grew and they were the power couple in school and everyone admired them a lot.

One day over the weekend, Kelvin invited Nora to his house as it was the last weekend Kelvin will be spending because he will be traveling to South Africa for University. Let me take you back a little just Incase you are confused when Kelvin got to the university. Kelvin was already in SS3 and they were already planning for their final exams when he met Nora. Final exams came and he passed. His family didn’t want him to study in Nigeria, so he had to leave. Nora felt bad about the news but she can’t stop him from going. Kelvin promised to always be in touch and promised to always come back during holidays just to see Nora.

So back to where we were. Nora went to visit Kelvin so they can spend the last time before he finally leaves for South Africa the next day. They watch movies,ate and had a very good time.

Do you want us to be late?  Nora jumped up from the bed and looked at the time it was 8:30am. She rushed to the bathroom,showered, dressed up and was heading straight to the door. “. Young lady are you going to church without us? Her dad asked .

No daddy I just want to say goodbye to a friend traveling out of the country today and I will be right back. Nora replied.

That’s her boyfriend daddy and his name is Kelvin “Ada said( Ada is her kid sister and the last born of the house) Nora quickly shut her up and told her dad not to mind her that she will be back quickly before they get ready for church. She left the house and quickly took kekenape to Kelvin’s house but to her disappointment,Kelvin had already left to the airport with his parents and only sent Nora a text message but she was so much in a hurry to leave the house and couldn’t check her phone before leaving. She saw the message when she was about to call him and the message said “ Hi my love, I couldn’t stop thinking about you all night as I didn’t get any sleep. I wish I could stay back but there is nothing I can do about that. I will always visit and will always call you no matter that. I’m leaving for the airport already and I don’t want to disturb your pretty sleep. I will call you before we board. I miss you already and I love you Nora”

Nora had tears in her eyes as she was going to miss him. She went back home to her family and they all went to church.

Kelvin kept to his promise and was always communicating with Nora everyday. Send each other pictures, video calls and it was the best time of Nora’s life as she was so much in-love. He visited during holidays like he promised.

Nora came home one day after checking her Jamb results. She had passed her Jamb and was rushing home to show her parents how excellent she did but on reaching her father’s gate, she saw a fine gentleman standing outside of her gate and she could not believe who her eyes saw. It was Kelvin and he didn’t let her know he was coming to Nigeria. That was the first time Nora was seeing him in person since he traveled.

That was when Nora realized they were outside and outside her father’s compound. “When did you get back” Nora asked. “Well I came in last night and decided to surprise you today” Kelvin replied.
“I passed my Jamb”Nora said in excitement.  “Congratulations my love” I always knew you are a smart and an intelligent girl” I have a surprise for you but you have to come with me” Kelvin said directing her to the car he came with. Is this your car?” Nora asked. No my dad’s car dear” Kelvin opened the door for her and he drove away from Nora street. He took her to his parents house and went straight to his room. He couldn’t wait to hold her and kiss her “ I have missed you so much” Kelvin said while drawing her closer to kiss him. “I miss you too” Nora replied
