Kelvin: Hi Babe are you okay?

He just came out from the shower and he saw Nora standing close to the wardrobe.

Nora: Yeah I’m okay.

Nora replied with a very low tone because of the text message she saw on the phone.

Kelvin: So you are set?

Nora: Yes I am and I’m just waiting for you.

Nora could not speak to him regarding the text message she saw, she decided to act like she didn’t just see the message.

Kelvin went toward the wardrobe and saw the phone and the missed calls. He looked at Nora and tried to hide the phone without knowing she had already seen the calls and text message.

Kelvin dressed up and pick up his phone to make a call.

Kelvin: Ehn babe I will be right back, let me arrange our cab that will take us.

Nora: Okay

He left the room while trying to make a call.

Nora just sat on the bed and started crying because of the text message she saw on the phone. She could not believe what she just read and still didn’t want to confront Kelvin about it. She picked up her phone to call her friend but before she could do that, another call came in and it was Ben calling. Tho that was not the call she needed but she just had to answer for closure and speak to someone.

She answered the call:

Nora: Hi dear

Ben: Hey beautiful. How are you?

Nora: I’m fine and you?

Ben: I’m doing great, at least I have heard your voice now.

Nora: oh really?

She had a big smile on her face.

Ben: oh yes. Nora I don’t know why you keep ignoring me tho. You know very well that I like you. But you just keep ignoring me like you have a boyfriend. Or do you have a boyfriend?

Nora paused for a minute and didn’t know what to answer Ben but just as she was about to give him a reply, she heard a knock at the door and had to end the call.

Nora: ehn Please let me call you back. She didn’t wait to hear a response from Ben before she ended the call and went to see who was knocking.She opened the door and it was Kelvin.

Kelvin: Baby girl let’s roll. The car is here.

Nora: You have been on the phone with the guy since?

Kelvin: Well not really, plus I had to settle our outstanding bill before leaving.

Nora: it took you forever to come back.

Kelvin: Babe are you going to get ready and let’s go or you want to start asking me 21 questions?

Nora: No problem. Let’s go.

Kelvin grabbed their bags, Nora lead the way while Kelvin went behind her to make sure the door was locked.

They both walked down to the car and the car drove off.

While they were on their way, Nora was not settled. She really wanted to ask Kelvin about the text message she saw and who the person was. She was quiet on the way and all she was thinking about was “what if Kelvin is actually cheating on me just like Clara said”. She still didn’t want to believe it. She had a lot going through her mind and was just confused and seriously needed someone to talk to but she doesn’t want to speak to Clara about it because she will definitely say “yes he is cheating on you”

Kelvin noticed her mood and pull her closer to him and said.

Kelvin: Babe are you okay? You have been so quiet? What’s wrong?

Nora: I’m fine, just don’t have anything to say and besides you have been on your phone.

Kelvin: oh Cmon babe, that’s not enough reason to be this quiet. Besides you can speak to me if there is anything wrong okay?

Chai see your sweet lips and oh my you have the most gorgeous body. You know that right?

Nora: Well you keep telling me that. Thanks. She reply with a fake smile and even Kelvin could notice something was off with Nora.

Kelvin tried to kiss Nora and make out at the back of the car but she was being reluctant. Kelvin had to ask in a very low tone.

Kelvin: Baby! What’s wrong with you nau.

Nora: Nothing! Can’t you see we are in the car and it’s so bright in here.

Kelvin: But who cares? And the driver is just minding his business by the way and nobody is at the back sit with us nau.

He pulled her closer again and this time, he kissed her and placed his hands in between her laps. Nora was wearing a very sexy gown and Kelvin could not resist her. His hand tried to go inside the gown but Nora held him and stopped him.

Nora: Please stop! Not really in for this.

Kelvin: But why are you not even fun sef? Everything you don’t want. What exactly do you want? Losen up and don’t be a boring girl.

Kelvin moved away from her and went back to pressing his phone. Nora could not reply him, she kept quiet and she clearly wasn’t happy.

They were both quiet for the rest of the trip.

Kelvin: Yo finally in my city. So I will drop you home at first before heading home.

Nora: Okay that’s fine.

They drove to Nora’s place first to drop her at home. Nora’s sister came out to greet her.

Nora: Hi baby girl. I have missed you so much. She came down from the car and hugged her sister.

Nora: where is Mummy?

Ada: She just stepped out now before you came in. Hello Uncle Kelvin. She waved her hand greeting Kelvin.

Kelvin: Hi Angel. How are you?

Ada: I’m fine. Are you not coming in?

Ada asked Kelvin who was about to get back inside the car after dropping Nora’s bag on the ground.

Kelvin: Ehnnn No I won’t be coming in but I will stop by tomorrow.

Ada: Okay then.

Nora went to meet Kelvin and gave him a hug to tell him goodbye.

Kelvin: I will call you when I get home.

Nora: okay then. Take good care.

She walked away from him and Kelvin got into the car and drove off.

Nora took her luggage in and went into the house.

Ada: Are you okay?

Nora: why do you ask?

Ada: The way you hugged Kelvin and it looks like you guys are not okay with each other.

Nora: Ada the observer. This girl try to mind your business o. Anyways nothing is wrong and we are fine madam.

Nora replied her and went into her room. Nora could not let go of what she saw on kelvin’s phone. She wasn’t settled, she needed someone to talk to. So she went ahead to call her friend Rose. She called more than 4 times but no response from Rose. She had to call her friend Clara who initially she didn’t want to call.

She called just once and Clara picked up.

Clara: Hi girl. Wsup?

Nora: I’m fine o. Hwfa?

Clara: This one your voice is like this. Are you okay?

Nora: I’m not okay Clara and I hate to admit it.

Clara: okay.. what’s wrong? Hope everybody is fine at home. Or wait are you still with Kelvin?

Nora: Well, I just go back home, Kelvin was the one that dropped me.

Clara: okay…. Is everyone fine at home?

Nora: Yes everyone is fine but there is something else.

Clara: Babe what is it nau

Nora: i don’t know how to tell you because I don’t want you to tell me “I told you so”

Clara: I’m guessing it’s about Kelvin Abi?

Nora: yes

She burst into tears.

Clara: Ahhh Babe is it that bad? Okay calm down please. What did he do to you?

Nora: He didn’t really do anything to me but I saw something.

Clara: what did you see? Him with another girl?

Nora: Kelvin has a different phone from the one I know of. He was in the shower and the phone won’t stop ringing. I reached to check which phone was it and I saw the caller’s name saved as RC with a love emoji. I still ignored the call and I was about the leave the wardrobe when a text message pop on the screen and babe it reads “it was a great night and I can’t wait for tomorrow night”.

Clara: What???

Clara asked In exclamation.

Nora: I quickly dropped the phone and left it where it was. Since I saw the message, I haven’t been able to take that out of my mind. I could not confront him. I just kept quiet all through.

Clara: Hmmmmm. I don’t want to start saying, I told you so but babe nau I told you. That guy is a cheat. You could read the hand writing on the wall but you refused to accept it. I think you should talk to him o.

Nora: I don’t even know how to start. I’m not just okay babe.

Clara: it’s okay. Calm down and try to take it off your mind. At least you are with family. Get a distraction and you will be fine. But you still have to talk to him.

Nora: Maybe I will go over to his house to see him so we can talk.

Clara: you can do that but not today o. Just relax today and be cool okay?

Nora: Alright no problem.

Clara: Good girl. Anyways how is Ben? Did he still call you?

Nora: ah Yes o. He even called me when I was in the hotel and this guy came out straight to tell me he likes me o.

Clara: Awwwwn seriously? You see correct guy.

Nora: Clara please jare. That was how Kelvin started and now this.

Clara: Kelvin’s own started as secondary school love. This Ben guy is matured and I’m sure he knows what he wants. Kelvin is still a young boy trying to explore other ladies. You now na virgin. You no Dey offer anything.

Clara burst into laughter.

Clara: So you better consider Ben sha.

Nora: Anyways I have heard you and he even asked me if I have a boyfriend?

Clara: Hope you didn’t tell him yes o?

Nora: well.. I was about to respond when Kelvin came in and I ended the call.

Clara: Better and you this girl, don’t tell him you have any yeye boyfriend because clearly you don’t have. Don’t chase a good guy because of one nonsense boy.

Nora: okay madam I will think about it.

Clara: There is nothing to think about o. Say it like I have told you. YOU DONT HAVE A BOYFRIEND. PERIOD!

Nora: Okay my madam I have heard you. Anyways bye and I will talk to you later.

Clara: okay girl. Take good care of yourself.

The call ended. Nora could not stop thinking about the message she saw. She got up, and decided to go to Kelvin’s house despite her friend’s advice.

Ada: Are you going out?

Nora: Yeah and I will be back. Okay.

Ada: Alright byeeee

Nora took kekenape and went straight to Kelvin’s house. It’s was around 6:30pm

She got there and she was told Kelvin is not home but just as she was about to leave the compound, something happened….
