Hello? Hello. Nora said while waiting for a response over the phone but then the moaning continued. Before she could call her friend to come and listen to what she was hearing in the background, the call ended. She tried calling again but Kelvin did not answer.

Clara I just called Kelvin now. Nora said while looking confused because of what she heard.

What did he say? Clara asked.

He didn’t say anything but I heard the moaning of a lady in the background. Nora replied.

You say what? Clara asked in shock.

Wait you mean to say you called Kelvin, he picked up and you were hearing moaning of a lady? Clara ask.

Yes that what I heard and now I’m calling again but he is not picking up. Nora replied.

Nora my friend see, you don’t need any prophet to tell you that guy is cheating on you o. Clara said .

See ehn, just get ready let’s go and hang out because if I leave you here now, you will start crying on your birthday and I will not like that. Clara said.

But why is he not picking up again. Nora asked with a teary voice.

At least why can’t he just wish me a happy birthday? What did I do to Kelvin? Nora had so many questions only Kelvin could answer.

My dear friend, get dressed and let’s go out please. You don’t need this in your life and certainly not on your birthday.Clara replied while pulling her up to go get dressed.

After much convincing from Clara, Nora decided to get dressed and go out with Clara but still was not over the voice she heard from Kelvin’s side on the phone.

They got to the location and it was a cool lounge in GRA. As they step in, Nora caught the attention of a guy who could not help but admire Nora’s beauty.

She’s got this aura about her that just captivates him. He can’t take his eyes off her. He’s in awe of her beauty and grace. Her beauty is absolutely mesmerizing, and her confidence is off the charts. As she strolls through the door, he can’t help but notice her stunning figure and graceful movements in her beautiful Red Gown and a blond long wig. It’s like she’s got this magnetic pull that captures his attention. He’s in awe of her, admiring every little detail from her dress, to her gorgeous body, hair and the pronounced Red lip sticks she had on with a gold shoe to pair. As she walks past him, he can’t help but admire her from head to toe. He’s completely smitten.

Did you see how that guy was checking you out? Clara asked in excitement.

Which guy? I didn’t see anybody jare. Nora replied still moody.

Anyways I know what I saw and I’m definitely sure he will come and talk to you. Just watch out and girl he is so cute. Clara said trying to cheer Nora up.

Oya calm down girl. All is still fun. Clara replied smiling.

Let’s check their menu. Do they have shots? Nora Asked.

The young guy who couldn’t help with Nora’s beauty, finally summoned the courage to walk up to them. This guy can’t resist the allure of Nora he’s been admiring her since she walked in. He gathers his confidence and approaches her.

Hello Ladies. The young man said while greeting Nora and her friend.

Oh Hi. Clara quickly replied.

My name is Ben(well now you know his name)

I’m Nora. Nora replied with uninterested face.

Well, I would have loved to join you ladies but I’m actually headed out but if I can get 5 mins of your time. Ben said while stretching his hand to Nora.

Oh please you can have 5 mins that’s not a problem. Clara quickly jumped in before Nora changes her mind.

Clara was hitting Nora’s Leg under the table so she could get up and talk to the guy.

Hmmmmmmm okay that’s fine but please 5 mins like you said. Nora finally agreed.

Oh yes I keep to my word. Ben replied smiling.

They both walked towards another seat in the lounge.

Let me go straight to it. Ben said

I saw you and girl you are so beautiful. I said to myself as I was about to leave that there is no way I’m leaving this place without talking to you. Ben said.

Anyways thanks for the compliment. So what’s the 5 mins about? Nora asked with a displeased face.

Hmmmmm. Well…I feel like I can give you my number, but seeing you again, I don’t think so because I’m not the outing type and I’m also a student.Nora replied.

If I can get your number, then the rest will be simple. Ben replied with a smile

Where do you school? He asked.

Uniben 200L students. Nora replied.

I’m a graduate of BIU, so yeah I’m done with school. Ben replied.

My 5 mins is almost up, so please let me get your number so I can call you and we can talk more.Ben said.

Oh okay but please I don’t take calls at odd hours. Deal? Nora asked.

Such a tough girl. Ben replied. Anyways that’s fine. Deal Ma while stretching his phone so Nora can type her number in.

Nora took his phone and typed her number and gave his phone back to him.

He dialed her number so Nora can have his. Thanks Nora I appreciate your time and 5 mins is up. I told you I keep to time. Ben said while getting up to leave.

Yes you do and have a good night. Nora replied

She walked back to her seat to meet her friend Clara.

So what’s up? Clara asked while anxious to hear the gist.

You this girl you are trying to set me up right? Because it looks like you know this guy o. Nora said.

Set you up? Clara asked laughing out loud.

Well, he just said he wants to see me again and I should please give him my number, he didn’t want to talk much because of 5 mins time he promised. Nora replied.

The guy looks really cool and he is so cute. Admit it nau. Clara said.

Anyways yes he is but I’m not interested in anything. These guys are fake. That was how Kelvin started and now look at what’s happening. Nora replied.

Girl don’t judge everybody the same o. Kelvin is just a player and besides this guy is in Nigeria so no long distance.Clara said.

Just as Nora was about to reply, her phone rang and it was the talk of the devil calling. She looked at her phone and saw his name. She had saved his name with a love emoji.

Look who is calling me. Nora said facing the phone to Clara.

See the time he is calling someone he calls his girlfriend? 9pm. Clara replied angrily.

Just let it ring besides that’s how you always call him and he doesn’t pick or return call.

So it’s time for pay back. Better not pick up. Said Clara.

The phone rang for the 3rd time and Nora was already feeling bad she has not picked up.

But babe what if that was even Network or something was wrong with him? Nora said

Babe nothing was wrong with him. Just leave him till tomorrow and tell him you have already slept off. Clara replied.

As Nora was about to pick up, Clara grabbed her phone and put it away.

Stop being a fool for this guy please. Let’s have a good time as we celebrate your birthday and go home.Clara said.

They had a few shots, ate and danced. It’s safe to say Nora enjoyed her birthday with her friend Clara.

*phone ringing* it was 7am the next day. Nora reached out to see who was calling and it was Kelvin again. He had given her 8 missed calls and Nora didn’t pick up. She answered the phone with sleepy eyes

Hello. Nora answered the phone.

Finally someone pickup. Kelvin replied.

I have been calling you all night and no response. What’s wrong? Kelvin asked

Well, I was already sleeping. Nora replied

That early? Wow I didn’t know you were already sleeping. Sorry. Kelvin replied.

It’s fine. So why were you calling? Nora asked.

Well , I wanted to check on my baby and apologize for not taking her calls.Kelvin replied smiling.

Just that? Nora asked.

Wait was it wrong to call and check in? Kelvin asked.

No it wasn’t wrong but just that I was expecting something else. Nora said.

And what could that be? Kelvin asked.

Kelvin yesterday was my birthday but I didn’t expect you to remember because you were fully occupied with your girl while you guys were having sex. Nora replied angrily.

Babe I’m not sure that was me tho. All through yesterday I was out trying to fix my new place and I had issues with the police. The whole issue was settled at about the time I called you. And when you didn’t pick up after 8 times, I left it.Kelvin replied.

There was no girl and I got caught up with the police because my friend was driving rough and I was headed to get things for your birthday I thought was next week.

I wanted to surprise you this week with them. Kelvin said.

I’m sorry I didn’t know that was what happened. Nora replied

I love you Nora and I’m sorry I missed your birthday. I have been going through some stuffs and I will explain everything to you when I’m back to Nigeria. Kelvin said trying to convince Nora.

It’s fine at least now I know you were not cheating on me. Nora said with a smile.

Cmon babe I won’t do that. I love you a lot and I miss you too. Kelvin said

So, Happy birthday and yes I’m still going to send the things down and you are definitely going to love them. Kelvin said

Smiling Nora who Kelvin have successfully convinced, replied. I can’t wait babe and I love you too. So much.

Well I could not help but hear you when you won’t allow me sleep. Clara replied sitting on the bed where they were both lying down.

Babe Kelvin was in big trouble o. He got arrested yesterday and guess what? Nora asked in excitement.

Well he got me gifts he wanted to send to me because he thought my birthday was next week. He is actually going through some stuffs for real babe. Nora said.

See ehn, there is no way my boyfriend will forget my birthday plus I will call him and the next thing is to be hearing moaning sound for almost 1 minute . No way. Clara said

Please please don’t start with giving excuses for him please. Let’s just end this Kelvin topic because body go just dey pepper me as you Dey mumu like this. Clara said disappointed.

She stood up from the bed and went to the toilet.

Nora sat down on the bed, confused. She didn’t know if to believe Kelvin her boyfriend who she loves so much or take her friend’s advice.

It was the end of the second semester. Her relationship with Kelvin was going smoothly and they were both happy. Nora paid less attention to Ben who was seriously interested in her. She didn’t want anything to spoil her relationship with Kelvin. Kelvin had promised her he will be coming back to Nigeria to spend some time and he will definitely see her so they can spend time together. Nora was so excited and anticipating to see him. Nora was done with 200l and was preparing to go home for the holiday. But before then, she had to stop at the mall to get somethings so she could slay when Kelvin Arrives. She has also made up her mind to give in her virginity to Kelvin when he comes. Yes Nora was still a Virgin.

She stepped into the mall, and while she was shopping for things, what Nora saw at the mall almost made her collapse.
